Walls found in Milan were not roman

Milan - Some days ago italian newspapers reported the finding as a sensational, probably roman, finding in Milan. The most spectacular roman remains in the area, what seemed to be a huge insulae or a defensive site .
"Nothing roman there and nothing relevant form the archeological point of view" said today the Soprintendenza Archeologica della Lombardia called by the Roman Hideout.
The discovery was made in the last two months while cleaning the area and prepare it to the erection of two new large buildings. After about 30 years of discussions about how to qualificate the area, finally something was decided, but the new discovery stopped the works.
Today the Soprintendenza Archeologica has allowed the distruction of those remains probably from industrial age.
