The Federation Ars Dimicandi is born
In order to support the groups of legionaries, gladiators and body-fighters in their activities

The Archaeological Group of Villadose, represented by the dr. Maragno, has signed the corporate chart in Filago (Bergamo, Italy), together with Fabio Massari of the Principia Association (Rome), Dario Battaglia of the Ars Dimicandi Institute based in Bergamo and Brice Lopez of the Ars Dimicandi France.
The Federation Ars Dimicandi is an association that aim to group in Europe people who wants to learn the art of the combat in the antiquity, providing instructors in the several disciplines. 
The Federation will have the scope to value, through the practice of the "ars dimicandi", the dignity and the emotional contents determinated by the direct experience of the athletic gesture, to re-discover the cultural patrimony expressed by the heavy athletics Greek-Latin, gladiatoria and militar, too long relegated to virtual intellectual or simply aesthetic-commemorative level. This knowledge will be addressed to any enthusiasts: historical athletes, groups, reenactors, collectors, school teachers and any other subject that desires to be formed in such disciplines. 
The headquarters of the Federation will be near the historical thematic park called "Marzio Field", situated in Calcinate close to Bergamo in Italy. This park, that is still only on the paper and will be realized in the near future, will build, on a space of approximately 5 hectares, one circus, one arena for gladiators, an amphitheater, some museums dedicated to the art of the ancient combat, a temple. in addition to an hotel, restaurants and parkings.

Members of the legion from Villadose, as constituent group, will have an important role in this Association that it will fix one of its annual events in Villadose in occasion of the annual historical reconstruction of the roman "centuriatio". Each department is devoted to some specific disciplines whose technical-didactic program drift exclusively from the activity of research and experimentation of the Institute Ars Dimicandi. Each activity is made obligation of specific scientific search and relative institutional acknowledgment to proves the reliability of the same ones. The technical conduction of every discipline is of exclusive competence of the Federal Technical College.
